Photo Contest

Bring your digital camera and photograph our event.  Take pictures of dogs, people, activities and entertainment.  Submit your pictures to compete in our photography contest.  All pictures will become the property of the First Town 4-H Club.  The best pictures will be published on the web site and may be used in future promotional materials.  Prized will be awarded to the following categories:

• Best Dog Picture
• Best Picture of Dog with People
• Best Picture from Dog Walk
• Best Picture from Race to Rescue
• Best Picture of Entertainment
• Best Picture of Children
• Best Picture of Exhibits
• Open Best of Show (any picture)

You may submit up to 20 pictures in total.  Pictures may be emailed to info@dogwalk.org.  Pictures must be received by June 7, 2009.

Dog Walk Scavenger Egg Hunt, Win $20 cash.

We have hidden Easter eggs along the Dog Walk trail. Each has a peanut butter flavored dog biscuit in it. These should be easy for your dog to help you find and what a nice reward for your dog. Like the Title says, this is a Dog Fair. What is in it for you? We have hidden $1 coins in 20 of the eggs and one egg contains a $20 bill. Good luck to the lucky person that finds the $20 bill. Dog Fair Scavenger Challenge. Win a $50 in gift Cards!

Another interactive game. Inside the program book is a list of ten questions about the Dog Fair. Answer all questions correctly, return the questionnaire to the silent auction staff and you are entered into a special raffle for a $50 of gift cards (location to be determined). Questions will require you to visit vendors, and explore the fair to determine the correct answer to the ten questions.

Dog Tricks and Talents

Can you and your dog to a silly or impressive dog trick? Can you perform it live in front of an audience? Bring you dog and compete in this entertaining event in the main show ring at 1:00. The best Dog Trick/talents will win prizes. Please pre-register for this event on your registration form. Please bring all props that you require for your dog trick. Tricks must take no more than one minute to set up and should generally take no longer then one minute to perform.

Costume Contest (for you and your dog)

That's correct, both you and your dog should dress in the costume and theme of your choice. Please be ready to compete in the Costume Fashion Show immediately following Stupid Dog Tricks at 1:00. Prizes will be awarded to the best costumes. Please pre-register for this event on your registration form.

Microchip your Dog

We have arranged for a special price of only $25 to have your dog microchipped with an ID tag by a qualified veterinary technician. HomeAgain has donated a limited number of chips in support of "Chance". Today only you may support service dogs and ID your dog with a HomeAgain microchip. Please pre-register and pay for microchips with your registration form to ensure availability. Dependent on pre-registrations, additional chips may or may not be available on the day of show.

Hot Dog Bobbing for Dogs

Just like it sounds! We cut up a hot dog, toss it in the water, and let your dog bob for their reward. Your dog will love it.

Obstacle Agility Course for your dog

Test your skills with your dog as we clock your time completing our obstacle course for dogs.
