www.DogWalk.org is hosted by the First Town Veterinary Science 4-H Club of Windsor Connecticut. We have been hosting dog walks for over four years and have collected over $60,000 for animal related causes. We have decided to make our web domain, www.DogWalk.org, available for all charitable dog walks around the country. We invite you to use our domain name in your promotional materials and we list your dog walk event on our main dog walk listing page and provide a link directly to your own website or registration service. We have found this web address to be easy to remember and eye catching for marketing purposes and are excited about the opportunity to help other animal related causes around the country. This is also a great resource to visit other dog walk websites for ideas on how make you dog walk the best it can be. Behind the service dogs in the adjacent picture is a sample of our yard signs, which we use to publicize our dog walk. We typically print 100 to 200 signs and distribute them around town to direct traffic to the web site. The signs are great on front yards, business sponsors, local supermarket parking lots and busy street intersections. Our favorite place is at the local gas station. Most gas stations will happily let you put up a sign when they learn you are not looking for a donation. We also use www.DogWalk.org on all of our posters, flyers and advertisements. Posters and flyers are great to mail to targeted dog owners and display in corporate bulletin board and in store windows. Additionally, do not forget to post your event in your local newspapers community news and on several local website calendars such as your chamber of commerce. If you would like to a premier location at the top of the list under “Featured Dog Walks”, we are asking for a $100 donation to help offset our website maintenance expense.
